Warren Sapp Arrested

Former NFL star and ‘Dancing With the Stars’ season 7 runner-up, Warren Sapp, has been arrested for domestic violence.

Warren Sapp was arrested on Saturday from a Miami Beach Hotel after the police dispatched a complaint reported by Warren Sapp’s girlfriend. The call was made around noon in which Warren Sapp’s girlfriend reported that he attacked her violently in the morning. Reportedly, Warren Sapp’s girlfriend, whose name was not released by the police, was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center where she was treated for a swollen knee and scars on the neck.

According to the details told by the Miami Beach police, Warren Sapp and her girlfriend got involved in an argument. The argument was about Sapp’s girlfriend hanging out with other men earlier that night.

Warren Sapp’s girlfriend has accused that he pushed her on the couch and choked her during the argument. On the other hand, Warren Sapp gives a total different account of the incident. He told the police that he was helping her to get up from the ground when she fell backward and bruised her leg.

Warren Sapp is expected to appear before the judge today, according to the Miami Beach police spokesperson.

Warren Sapp, 37, has been in a relationship with the woman for two years. Warren Sapp was visiting Miami to cover the Super Bowl 2010 event for NFL Network as an analyst. CBS 4 of Miami has said that the network management has relieved Warren Sapp from the duties of on-air correspondent for NFL Network.
