Victoria Reggie Kennedy
Victoria finished her undergraduate degree from Newcomb College of Tulane University in New Orleans. She graduated with a B.A. degree and she was chosen to Phi Beta Kappa and other honor societies and served on the learner government. She was the editor of the Tulane Law Review While in law school.
Mrs. Kennedy is the head and co-founder of Common Sense about children and weapons which is a non-profit, non-partisan organization paying attention on raising knowledge and addressing issues associated to gun deaths and injuries to children in the United States. She is a part of the Board of Trustees of the Brady Center to stop Gun Violence, and has served as a part of the counseling team for the Annual Day of National Concern about Young community and Gun Violence. She is a regular professor at the American University Washington Semester Program. She speaks on community plan issues linked with gun violence prevention and inspiring college students to engage in their communities.
The issues, in which she is interested, comprise issues related to women, economic opportunity, children, health care, families, homelessness, education, family violent behavior and participation in the political process.
Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy both had been previously married and they have five children and four grandchildren.
