Urbanchat? Yes, this is chat with Karl Urban who is Dr. Leonard McCoy of the Star Trek 2. IGN Movies have had a chance to talk with Karl Urban about rebooted film series.
Who is not aware of Captain Kirk, Spock and Bones, No matter in which part of the world you dwell? But the rebooted series does not carry the structure we all are familiar enough on our television in all those television shows.
If the first movie was focused on forming the relationship between Kirk and Spock, the second is about establishing every character at its place. Karl Urban hopes that J.J, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci would strengthen the characters.
“He is dead, Jim”, rings the bell into your mind and Star Trek have had many a such iconic lines which became proverbial in the everyday life.
Karl is considering it as a privilege and pleasure for being a part of such a series that gave him a lot of entertainment. He would love to work with those wonderful people, although it is a tradition that once you become a part of Star trek series, you have to remain with that of your space man image.
As regarding preparations, Karl has iterated that he had gone through extensive trainings to shot fight scenes. He considers it amazing to work with Scott and Paul Bettany. Karl remembers his stomping of Paul’s finger, and giving him a cut on lip, but he appreciates Paul as a professional.
