Ting Tings
The Ting Tings, an emerging British musical band, announces the name of their next album. Reportedly, the name of the next album is ‘Kunst’ and is inspired by a local massage salon near their recording studio in Berlin. Jules De Martino of The Ting Tings tells that near their recording studio there is a massage parlor named ‘Massage Kunst’.
The meaning of the name is ‘massage art’ as kunst means art in German, he explained. De Martino reveals the details about the songs of the album and confirms the names of two potential songs of their album.
Kunst would be Ting Tings second album. The band released their first album in May 2008 and got a fair share of fame in the music industry. Ting Tings told that their band name is inspired from a Chinese mate of De Martino. It is because of the band name that the Ting Tings are particularly very famous among Asian music lovers. Ting Tings enjoy a huge fan base in Japan.
Ting Tings’ first album featured many hit singles. The tracks from their first album ‘We Started Nothing’ has been featured in many TV as well as film productions. Ting Tings’ single ‘Shut Up and Let Me Go’ and ‘Great DJ’ were particularly popular among other tracks from their debut album. The song ‘Great DJ’ has been featured in Oscar-winning move ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. The songs ‘Shut and Let Me Go’ and ‘We Started Nothing’ have been featured in Ugly Betty, Gossip Girl, 90210, and One Tree Hill.
Ting Tings have also been nominated for the award of Best New Artist at 52nd Grammy Awards. They have also been featured as musical guest on Saturday Night Live!
Ting Tings’ fans are expecting great singles in their next album. Reportedly, they have been working with rapper Jay-Z and R&B singer Rihanna for their second album.
