Telangana State

India has planned to create 29th state of the country. This will be a new, separate State of Telangana and will definitely cover most part of the southeast Andhra Pradesh. According to Home Minister P. Chidambaram the government would soon start work to found the separate state of Telangana.

The creation of this new state is the consequence of almost 11 days hunger strike of K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the chief of the party that was struggling for the formation of this new state. After so much long hunger strike, concerning the health issue of K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Home Minster r requested the chief and the workers of the party to withdraw their strike and government agreed to make Telangana a separate state.

This has been the tradition of India since the time of its independence that country has faced various state separations as 3 new states were formed in the year 2000 when Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar are divided to form new states of Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
