Stephanie Spielman Death
Stephanie Spielman died at the age of 42. Stephanie Spielman was victim of breast cancer. Stephanie Spielman fought with the disease for 12 years before giving up and taking sanctuary in the arms of Death. Stephanie Spielman was with her family at her home in Upper Arlington at the time of her death.
It was 1998 when Stephanie Spielman was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was 3 months pregnant at that time but miscarried. It was beginning of her suffering as human being. She received four attacks of deadly disease before the fifth that occurred in March and ended with her death.
Stephanie Spielman was a true inspiration for those who suffer from this disease. Her husband, famous football player Chris Spielman, stood by her side at the time of need and even took a one year off from the play ground, to be with her.
The Spielmans did not give in to the disease and became advocate to fight against breast cancer. A fund by the name of Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at Ohio State was founded and they raised $ 6 million for the fund. Spielmans won many awards for their dedication and work against breast cancer.
Stefanie Spielman created a group to help young women with breast cancer. She represented the annual event to honor the survivors of cancer; she also created a fund to facilitate the families of cancer patients financially.
Stephanie Spielman was given place into Women’s Hall of Fame at Ohio in 2002.
Lance Armstrong, Tour de France winner, Jim Tressel, the Ohio State football coach and many others recorded their sadness on the death of such an inspiration. She left the whole Ohio community saddened not mentioning her four children, and loving husband.
