Solar Eclipse January 2010 Live

Solar Eclipse on 15th January 2010 has been seen live by millions of people from Africa to Asia. Solar Eclipse January 2010 was the longest Eclipse of the millennium and it has been viewed live by thousands of people from several countries. It started from the Central African Republic, travelling through Cameroon, Uganda and Congo, reached Kenya, passed through Indian Ocean and entered Maldives, where it stood for the longest time around 111 minutes. Maldives was the best place to view the longest and complete Solar Eclipse. It started in Maldives at 12:20 pm and ended up till 12:30 (Maldives Local time).

Solar Eclipse was also seen in India, Pakistan and China. The NASA Officials reported the magnitude of Solar Eclipse of .919.

Solar Eclipse is basically the interruption of moon between the sun and the earth, it happens when moon came right between the earth and sun, stopping the light of sun to reach earth bringing darkness for some time and making a ring of light around the moon.

It was the longest Solar Eclipse making around 11.6 minutes. It started from Chad Africa, travelled through Indian Ocean, reached India, Pakistan and ended up in China.
