Simon Cowell, the bitter-tongue but very popular judge of Fox TV’s American Idol, has decided to leave the show after its current season. The 50-year-old Simon Cowell, who had been a longtime judge on American Idol, has decided to leave the show to concentrate on the U.S. version of ‘The X Factor’. The U.S. version of ‘The X Factor’ is going to start in the fall of 2011 and Simon Cowell will be producing as well as judging the show. The news about Mr. Cowell’s decision to leave ‘American Idol’ has now been made official by the Fox Network. The network made the announcement on Monday at Television Critics Association press visit in California.
Simon Cowell said that he was offered huge money from Fox Network to remain a judge on the network’s hit show ‘American Idol’, but it was not right to judge two shows in U.S. at the same time, so he decided to leave one. Mr. Cowell further said that he was thrilled and delighted to continue to work with Fox Network as he had ‘fantastic’ relationship with them. ‘The X Factor’ will be debuted in U.S. through Fox Network in the fall of 2011.
