Pat Murphy Resigns

Pat Murphy, baseball coach for Sun Devils Arizona State has announced his resignation from his position at Arizona State. Pat Murphy has given his 15 years to the University.

Murphy has made some remarkable victories during his long time period with university. He won 3 straight conference titles, four times won the Pac-10 Coach of the year, and wisely made it to the College World Series. He also won the title for National Coach of the Year in 1998.

ASU athletic director, Lisa Love said, “Coach Murphy has an exceptional record of achievements and success on the playing field. His precious 16 years of struggle and service to the university and the sport.”

A temporary coach will take over the line up until a permanent substitute is found. A national exploration for the new head coach is ongoing.
