Mediacom

Mediacom’s contract with Boone County extended till the end of March, 2010.

It was announced yesterday, under an agreement approved by the Boone County Board that Mediacom Communications, usually known just as Mediacom, will carry on providing cable television services for a fee to unincorporated Boone County inhabitants until 31st March, 2010.

Boone County’s administrator, Ken Terrinoni, said “I have talked to the company representatives, and we believe that just to keep everyone understanding which contract in fact exists in this interim, that we just lengthen the previous contract”. The county members have decided to run under their original contract until a new one could be crafted as directed by the board.

Mediacom Communications, a cable television and communications provider, is the 8th largest cable company in the United States by the quantity of basic video subscribers. The company was originally incorporated as an Analog Network in year 1995. It holds more than 4,500 employers and is providing cable services

to almost 1.3 million subscribers in 22 states throughout USA.

Mediacom aims to provide the best cable services to Non-Metropolitan areas. Currently analog and digital video services, video on demand, high-definition television, digital video recording, high-speed Internet access, and IP telephone services are included in the products and services list of the company for the maximum satisfaction of its valuable customers. The company also offers the VIP package. In this package the customer bundles for Video services accompanied with Internet or Telephone.

The twenty year franchise contract, to provide cable television services between Bonne County and Mediacom perished last year on 14th June and was renewed yesterday till 31st March, 2010.
