Mass Effect 2 DLC Release

BioWare reveals its newest plans about Mass Effect 2. The publisher reveals the news that Mass Effect 2 will be released earlier than it was originally planned. BioWare tells that Mass Effect 2 will be released on Tuesday, January 26. Not just this, BioWare also plans to release free Downloadable content (DLC) with the release of Mass Effect 2. According to the publisher, the first piece of Mass Effect 2 DLC, also called The Cerberus Network, will be featured in the ‘new’ copies of the game in the form of a code. The Mass Effect 2 DLC will allow the users to access in-game items as well as a new character Zaeed, according to a statement released by BioWare. There will be a second version of Mass Effect 2 DLC and it will be introduced weeks after the launch of the game. The second version of Mass Effect 2 DLC will contain additional new missions and some more items.

Game Publishers Adopting New Strategies to Attract Gamers

For years shops like GameStop has featured used games for sale. Buyers who bought new games and have played them well could sell these used games to those game buyers who want to save few bucks over their purchase. Shops which feature such sales could get commission through these sales but the publisher of the game don’t get anything at all. Mass Effect 2 DLC could be seen as a new strategy of BioWare to attract buyers who want to get a new game. Those who buy a new game of Mass Effect 2 will be able to get the free DLC but the buyers of used games could not benefit from this offer.
