Lil Abner
Lil’Abner is directed by the school teachers Katherine Cook and Beth Nelson. Katherine Cook is English teacher while Beth Nelson is music teacher at Baldwin High School. The classical musical will be played at school’s auditorium.
The rehearsals at the auditorium are providing the students opportunity to talk about the cast and their acting.
The musical has a bunch of duets and solos along with choruses and these up beat songs will remain in the heads of students for long time, or at least till the next musical at Baldwin High School auditorium. The up beat songs are played on piano and drumming. The choreography is rehearsed well and few of the cast members are good dancers and they have worked hard on dancing.
Senior Amelia Wilson has commented that there are a lot of things to be done before the final show but hopefully we will make it as the cast is quite talented this year. They will pay due attention to every detail and at the end things will run smoothly. We all would have a great musical on Friday night.
Junior Alex hoped that show will run smoothly and their viewers will get better entertainment. Senior Retta Larch commented that the best about a rehearsal for a musical is the chance of working together with people whom you may not know.
