Leonids Meteor Shower 2009

Meteor shower is not new for us. When we talk about meteor shower, we recalls the years 1999,2001 2002, and we get the impression of a sky overflowing with shooting stars pouring down like rain, through the sky. This meteor shower actually occurred in November.

This year, numerous astronomers are anticipating a potential raise in the usual hourly rate of 60-70. While the experts deviate about their occurrence. During the 2009, meteor shower mostly starting at 2 p.m. til 10 p.m. on 17th November and most probably in the early hours of the morning of the Nov. 18.

Most of the astronomers are congregation for the early evening potentials or possibilities on the night of17th November. During this meteor shower period you may examine a rare storm. Meteor shower will continue and will be at its peak on November 21.

Though this shower of 2009 does not have a fine trace, however it is being assumed that 2009 or 2012 may be good years for improved numbers of meteor shower as the earth passes closer yearly to the major stream of parent comet.
