According to New York Times website Laura Silsby has been sued by a former employee, according to whom Laura Silsby has failed to pay her, on the other hand a law firm has also sued the businesswoman Laura Silsby for unpaid fees. Laura Silsby has been facing state liens on a company bank account too.
According to Ada County Tax Assessor’s office, Laura Silsby was declared defaulter in July last year for an unpaid mortgage on a house, while in the November of the same year she registered a new non-profit organization “New Life Children Refuge” as the address of the house, she bought in 2008 for about$35o,ooo.
Laura Silsby will be appearing in the court room next Wednesday to answer some harsh questions; she will also appear in the court in March. The former employee that shed Silsby for unpaid salaries told the reporters that she told her employee that salary will be transferred as soon as the investor provides funds, but it never happened.
This is not the first time Laura Silsby has been sued for unpaid payments, in past three years she has been sued four times for the issue.
Laura Silsby came into public view earlier in the week, when she tried to bring in over 33 children from Haiti without government’s consent.
