Kevin Pearce

Young American contestant for Olympic snowboard and Burton Global Team snowboard rider, Kevin Pearce was injured badly on December 31.

He was at Park City Mountain Resort, for his snowboard training. Kevin Pearce hit his head with the half pipe wall during his practice and immediately taken to University of Utah Medical Center.

The 22-year-old Kevin Pearce was practicing for an upcoming event of Olympic qualifying at Mammoth Mountain, California.

He is an outstanding snowboard rider and has defeated Shaun White, the 2006 Olympic gold medalist in face to face competitions during the last two years.

His condition is being said serious and according to reports he has undergone a surgery to relieve fluid upsurge in his brain. His parents, Simon and Pia, are coming to Salt Lake City from their home in Norwich. Our sympathies are with Kevin Pearce.
