June Jones

Nothing could be more fun for June Jones than the historic 460 yards throw by his fresh man Kyle Padron. The SMU record 460 yards was a stamp of Mustangs post season vigorous appearance in not less than 25 years. Mustangs took Nevada by 45-10 in Hawaii Bowl on Thursday.

June Jones who took the herculean task of reviving SMU program that was on the brink of death. The second year coach was returned after nine seasons with Hawaii. June Jones declared it as a feeling of goodness for coming back home.

Nothing would be more cherish able for June Jones than SMU fans shouting, “Thank you June” in the last quarter of the game. The victory earned was equally contributed Kyle Padron who after game commented that at least we have a team again. Padron broke the Mike Romo record of 450 against North Texas way back in 1989. Eighteen years old star Padron said that it seemed that he was chucking the ball every where and luckily he found a lot of gaps and it was all fun for him.

Mustangs were picked online by more than ninety percent Americans to loose but that fact coinciding the pre game speech by June James inspired the guys to display something different and they really did it.

Another tribute for June Jones came form the opposite camp when Nevada Coach Chris Ault commented that they were outcoached by Mustangs.

June Jones asked his boys before the play that every body including the football players from high school, college and professionals would be watching this game on Christmas Eve and it is nothing else but some big game by big players. Mustangs paid a lot heed to their coach’s words.
