The rock musician and record producer Joshua Michael Homme was born in 1973 at Joshua Tree-California. Josh Homme was the founding member of Kyuss, the stoner metal band and QOTSA, Queen of the Stone Age band. He was mainly a singer and guitarist in these bands, but he is a multi-instrumentalist and can play guitar, drums, bass and keyboard with equal ease. Eagles of Death Metal was also co-founded by him and he performed as its drummer. Josh Homme produced and released a score of musical series with other musicians too especially with the Palm Desert scene also known as The Desert Sessions.
Josh Homme appeared with a new project in 2009, Them Crooked Vulture, with Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones. Them Crooked Vultures performed first time on 9 August 2009 at The Metro in Chicago
before a crowd of 1100. The band has been touring steadily from its inception with live rhythm guitar player Alain Johannes. Them Crooked Vulture was release in America on 17 November last year and Sony Music released it internationally. Them Crooked Vulture trio was present at February 6, Saturday Night Live as musical guest and they performed well at the show. The second album from the trio is expected this summer.
Josh Homme and his wife Rody Dalle who is former The Distillers and presently Spinnerette lead woman live in Palm Springs. The couple has a daughter Camille Harley Homme who was born on 17 January 2006.
