James Blake
Well, we weren’t expecting this but James Blake has lost against Juan Martin Del Potro. James Blake’s defeat and Del Potro’s victory also places another crown in the already accomplished resume of Del Potro. Del Potro defeated James Blake in arduous match of four hours and seventeen minutes.
James Blake, a veteran US Open, tried every bit to win the match and kept a pressure on the Argentine player.
30-year-old James Blake, who had a knee injury, had to strap it during the match. Blake took the hold over the game in the final set of the tennis match, but the tall & young Argentine took his control back and put the match back on the serve.
After a neck-to-neck match, Argentine Del Potro won the match against James Blake. When James Blake was leaving the court, the crowd stood up and gave him an ovation.
A Little Talk about the Davis Cup
This year both Roddick and James Blake will not be playing in the Davis Cup. Roddick and James Blake were a part of the American team which won the Davis Cup in 2007 but both the players have shown unavailability to appear in this year’s tournament. Roddick has refused to appear because of his injury while James Blake said that Davis Cup is too disruptive for his schedule.
