Grant Desme

25 years Old Catholic Christian, Grant Desme who has made his fame as the most excellent outfielder for the Major Leagues by “Baseball America” has announced to leave the game for the call from Jesus Christ. An enduring Catholic, Desme wants to become a priest and this was a sudden decision he took for about one and half year. He continued his faith and devotion towards the call of God silently within his game activities but now he decided to prepare himself properly for this call and he decided to enter a seminary in the mid of this year. His decision threw the A’s in a shock when he announced on Thursday night to leave all his gaming activities.

The story of this young and enthusiastic Catholic athlete to follow the path of faith and assurance of own self against the call of God reminds that there is a call for all of us from our lord, we just need to hear.

Desme was happy from his sports career but he was not satisfied as he wrote on Major League Baseball’s website and the San Francisco Chronicle that he was performing very well in Baseball and Baseball is a good thing but I have to follow God who is calling me for something much better for my life.

He stated that he loves the game but he is going to seek for more superior thing for him; baseball is just a game while there is something in life that matter more.
He has joined a Catholic Seminary in Orange County, California. There he will attain a exact audacious process of judgment and perspicacity.
