Father of the Bride

Father of the Bride- Which father of the bride? As according to my humble information we have a lot of Father(s) of bride in the list.

First of all, Father of the Bride is a 1950 film, and Elizabeth Taylor, Spencer Tracy and Joan Bennett starred in this movie. Not satisfied?

Secondly we have another Father of Bride, a movie again, but this time in 1991 as a remake of first Father of the Bride. Now we have Steve Martin, Diane Keaton and Martin Short trying to fit in the shoes of the legends of 1951.

Then comes the Father of the Bride (Part II), (Lucky are the men who may have a sequel of The Father of Bride)but this movie was a sequel of the 1991 movie and was made in 1995 with Steve Martin (again) and Diane Keaton and Martin Short with him.

Hold on and do not loose your heart as we another Father of the Bride, a television series that was aired in 1961-1962.

If you have had seen any of these movies you may agree with me that although different actors and actresses played their roles for the movies with same name but they all were based on Freudian philosophy that every woman takes her father as her ideal and every man takes his son-in-law as a threat to his so called honor. You may live in any part of the world; the most difficult role for a human is to be Father of the Bride. Agreed?
