Ethiopian Airlines Crash

The crash of Ethiopian Airlines plane into the sea just after took off from Beirut airport early in the morning with almost 90 people has been confirmed by Ghazi Aridi, the transport minister of Lebanon. According to official reports, the plane descended approximately 2 miles off the Lebanese coastline shortly after it took off from Beirut airport. Lebanon’s aircraft and navy ships are looking for survivors.

The reason of this plane crash was a minor storm over Beirut and because of inappropriate weather condition; the plane caught fire just a while after takeoff. Out of total 99 passengers, 51 were Lebanese and 23 were Ethiopians. The crew members who were eight in number all belonged to Ethiopia while according to Lebanese estimated report, the number of Lebanese was 54. Among the other passengers, two were Britons and one each from France, Russia, Turkey, Canada, Iraq and Syria.

Lebanese navy and civil defense crews are working for rescue efforts and the ruins of the plane have been discovered near Lebanese coast. According to the reports of some eyewitnesses, the plane caught fire immediately and flames were witnessed coming out from the aircraft when it was flying near Na’ameh town just before the crash.

Weather has been worst for the past two or three days throughout the country and it has been experienced heavy rain and thunder storm for many hours. According to Lebanese military reports, four bodies have been retrieved from the sea till now. People are worried about their relatives who were travelling on this plane.

    It will be good if some one could explain haw t/off in bad weather couled get a fire in an air craft
