Drew Brees Son
It was the perfect Kodak moment – Drew Brees carrying his little son in his arms and blue, red, and orange colored confetti was raining over them! The crowd was cheering for him, for the Most Valuable Player of the team. If anyone deserved a moment like this, it was Drew Brees. In 2005, Drew Brees was devastated when his shoulder dislocated badly. It was the time when New Orleans was suffering with the hurricane Katrina. Both Drew Brees and the New Orleans have undergone terrible times, and both deserved this victory and this moment!
Drew Brees completed 32 passes out of 39 and ran for 288 yards with two TDs. His 32 passes have tied with the previous Super Bowl record of maximum passes set by Tom Brady. And he was voted the Most Valuable Player of the Super Bowl 2010.
When Drew Brees was standing at the field after the Saints’ victory with his 1-year-old son in his arms, he must have been thinking what he and his city had gone through. The tears, which were welling up in his eyes, were telling his story. And then he exclaimed, ‘This championship is for you, New Orleans’.
It was surely a big moment for him, and the next day when he got up he wasn’t sure if Saints’ had won the game. Drew Brees told CBS that after waking up on Monday morning he asked his wife if that really happened yesterday. Talking on ‘The Early Show’ Drew Brees called their victory over Colts ‘remarkable’. And we couldn’t agree more with Drew Brees. Way to go ‘Who Dat?’ nation!
