Delimar Vera
The authorities suggested and declared her dead but failed to found her body or her remains even after controlling the fire. It was just a night mare for her mother and she never accepted that her daughter is no more. After six years in 2004, her mother found her in a birthday party and claimed her to be her child. Initially it wasn’t taken serious but later on the DNA reports verified that it is the lost girl Delimar Vera who was pretended to be perished by the fire.
Delimar Vera had quite strange incidents throughout her life right from the beginning. It was actually quite a different story, which was never anticipated by neither authorities nor the family members of Vera. She was not burnt during the fire but was kidnapped when she was just 10 days old and then the misfortune begin for her. Delimar was raised by someone else and later on told by the investigators in 2004 that her mother is not her mother and Luz proved to be her actual biological mother.
Luz Cuevas never admitted the fact told by authorities of her daughter’s death. She was a mother and it wasn’t in her control. She always strongly believed that her daughter is just lost; she will appear and will return to her one day, which obviously happened. Her family, friends and her husband tried their best to make her realize about the Vera’s death but all in vein. They start thinking that she has lost her mind and as a result her husband left her, then her friends and even her sister was troubled by her but never tried to understand her. Yet the motherhood proved right. She wasn’t out of her mind; she was right about the fact that Vera is alive.
The above story is quite heart aching and the Lifetime Movie Network has dramatized the life of Delimar Vera in 2008. The film exactly portrayed the pain and the mental tension on screen and also how mother can be so strong in her beliefs.
