David Swain convicted of killing his wife during scuba diving

David Swain is a Scuba shop owner living in America. He was convicted of killing his wife during a scuba dive yesterday, 10 years after the incident happened.

David Swain was charged of ‘near-perfect’ murdering of his wife after the jury members heard the case and took notice of an evidence after which he was found guilty of breaking the scuba mask and waiting until she drowned.

Shelley Tyre, Swain’s wife and an expert diver, went on a scuba dive with her husband in March 1999. David Swain and Tyre went on a vacation along with another couple. The couple enjoyed a quality time during their vacations. Let me mention here for record that Tyre was David’s second wife and they were married for five years. The couple have a son too.

On the last day of the vacation, the couple swam up into the water. David went after his wife and shut off her oxygen and removed the mask. Minutes later, the other couple found the body of Trye with her eyes opened and mask removed.

During the entire investigation, David maintained his innocence and said that Tyre‘s death occurred incidentally. No DNA evidence was presented. There was no eye witness of the incident and no testimony was made against David. But the investigators found no natural cause of death during autopsy. Experts were involved in the investigation when Tyre’s parents showed their dissatisfaction over David’s testimony to defend his case.

The court has given a death sentence for David Swain.
