Csun Bomb Threat

CSUN Bomb Threat prompted the evacuation of more than 100 people from the campus. The bomb threat fear was expressed by a California State University Northridge that someone has planted a bomb in his vehicle.

According to Vance Peterson, Vice President of the University Advancement, a male student of the university reported at noon that he feared his car that was parked on the campus lot was rigged with a bomb.

The student admitted that he is affiliated with some gang and the plantation of bomb is retaliation from their rival gang. According to Peterson, it was not an attack on the university.

The Los Angeles Police Department dispatched its bomb disposal squad to the university. The administration activated a mass communication emergency system to warn their faculty members, staff and students about the development at the campus through phone calls, text messages and e-mails.

The occupancy of a nearby preschool of university was also evacuated and dozens of people in lab facility were moved to some other locations according to Peterson.

Peterson further added that situation is being tackled seriously as if true that could cause a great damage to people in the campus,

According to bomb disposal squad no explosive device was found at the scene.

CSUN, Cal State Northridge is a public university in San Fernando Valley and it falls in the city limits of Los Angeles. CSUN was founded in 1958 as San Fernando Valley State College and evolved its present name in 1972. It has become one of the largest universities of California.

Cal State Northridge is home for National Center on Deafness, every year the university hosts the International Conference on Technology and Persons with Disabilities.
