Consumer Electronics Show 2010 – Microsoft’s New Tablet
Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s CEO, kicked off the Consumer Electronic Show 2010 at Las Vegas on Wednesday night by showing off its newest tablets, a joint venture of Microsoft and HP. The unnamed tablet is powered by Windows 7, Microsoft’s hottest new Operating System, and features the ultimate computing technology of PC giant, HP. But the product couldn’t wow the crowd. Analysts say that the tablet does not offer anything new and it is too small to work on and too big to keep in pocket.
Consumer Electronics Show 2010 – 3D TVs
3d TVs were the hottest products of the Consumer Electronics Show. Even Sony’s chief executive jokingly called the CES 2010 ‘CES 3D show’. Sir Howard Stinger also unveiled a whole new range of Sony Bravia 3D TVs. Other manufacturers who displayed their 3D TV products include Samsung and LG. The manufacturers also announced the news that 3D TVs will go on sales in October in UK and US markets. Most of the products are expected to retail around £3,000.
Apple’s Influence at Consumer Electronic Show 2010
Though Apple didn’t participate in Consumer Electronic Show at Las Vegas, its influence was still clearly visible in the show. Apple has revolutionized the market of cell phone application with its iPhone Apps. Google, Research In Motion, and Palm has joined Apple in the race, and CES 2010 showed that the market has great potential to grow more. Last year, the CES started an iLounge Pavilion on a 4,000 sq-ft. area, but this year it expanded to 25,000 sq-ft. and accommodated numerous retailers and manufacturers. More than 100 exhibitors showed Mac, iPod, and iPhone –related applications in the iLounge Pavilion.

‘Green’ has been the most popular world and it seems that it will remain even more popular in 2010. At CES 2010, which is being held at Las Vegas, many exhibitors come up with new solutions for energy management. Many news gadgets were showed off at the Consumers Electronic Show 2010 which have the capability to reduce the energy consumption from 10 to 20 percent.
