Local meteorologists say that the Cincinnati area has received almost an inch of snow on Monday night while more snowfall is expected throughout the Tuesday. Four car crashes have been reported in the Cincinnati and neighbouring counties. Many interstate highways in Ohio are blocked.

The State’s transport department has said that their crew workers are using salt for cleaning the roads to get them into shape for traffic. Most of the main streets in Cincinnati are wet due to slush making them more slick and dangerous. Road conditions have forced many districts in Cincinnati and neighbouring counties to announce school closings or delays. Forecasters say that Thursday would be more interesting as a heavy snowfall is expected that will add some more inches in already fallen snow in the area. Cincinnati is a U.S. city in the Ohio state. Ohio, Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee are few of those U.S. states which have experienced several snow storms during last 20 days. School closings have been announced in many other regions of northeast Ohio. Schools districts in Hamilton County and Butler County have decided to open schools with two-hour delays while some schools in Campbell County and Grant County have announced closings.

Weather experts say that America has experienced the coldest winter since 2000 in last 20 days. Snow has not snarled roads and caused school closings, but has also caused hike in oil prices in many areas as the demand has increased due to heating purposes.
