Charytín

Charytín is a Dominican Republican beauty, a famous TV presenter, singer, and actress. She is among the presenters of 2009 Latin Grammy Awards that will be held in Las Vegas at the Mandalay and will be aired live by Univision.

Charytin started her career as a singer from Puerto Rico; she visited in 1970 where she met a famous TV actor and producer Elin Ortiz, who later becomes her husband. In the mean while she started a TV show which aired every Sunday night. She got an exceptional fame from her song Mosquita Muerta.

This is one of her most famous performances in the field of music. She left showbiz after the birth of her first child and joined the showbiz again in 1990 after the birth of her twins.

She hosted a gossip show in 2003 and in 2007 she receive d a “Life Achievement Award” for her remarkable work in showbiz and now she is again preparing to present in Latin Grammy Awards.
