Carol Hannah Whitfield was not looking at her best while she was introducing her collections for the show. Carol Hannah put forward a great line, especially the leadoff halter dress in beige and black. Other pieces including the purple ones, the blue gown, and that striking party dress. The whole line was presentable and Carol Hannah put her best for the show. “The Story”, was missing in her pieces but same was the case with many others like Althea’s line.
Irina Shabayeva who definitely kept herself to New York look stole project Runway season six. Despite the fact, there were many black pieces in her collection that were looking tough but perhaps that were not as eye catching as were Carol Hannah’s. These dresses present a very beautiful structure which every woman would love to have in her wardrobe.
The show was a powerful event overall, although judges were not speaking in synchronization with their actions. Carol Hannah won the oral appreciation from the judges yet she had to leave behind of Irina for not having a cohesive story in her collection. Suzy Menkes smilingly iterated, “I noticed it.” The referred dress was an inverted pyramid dress.
Irina Shabayeva won the show despite the judges were not satisfied with the limitation of colors in her collection.
Carol Hannah lost the show and many a people like me were not happy with the judges’ decision. Many people described the show as worst season of Project Runway. There is still good news for all of us that the show will be back in January.
