Carl Smith Country Singer
It has been reported that Country singer Carl Smith took an early leave from his shining career in 1977, when he was just 50 years old. Back in 2003 when Country Music Awards electors elected Carl Smith into the Hall of fame, he was seen on the national television just for few seconds with a silent smile on his face while waving to his worthy standing ovation. That was the last time he was on-air, after that he went back to his quite farm life. Although his daughter Carlene Carter and both his wives “Goldie Hill and June Carter” were popular country singers.
Carl Smith rise to fame slowly and steadily, it was 1951 when his song “Let’s Live a Little” hit the top ten music charts, later followed by ”If Teardrops were Pennies ” and “Mr.Moon” in the same year.
“Let Old Mother Nature Have Her Way” was the first album released by Carl Smith in 1951, almost 1 million copies of his record were sold in the market.
Year 1952 stood same for the Carl Smith Country singer with his album “When You Feel Like You’re in Love” hitting the music market hard once again.
The amazing thing about Carl Smith was that after rising to fame in 1951 he stayed on the country music charts for consecutive 22 years.
Our deepest condolences go out to family and friends.
