Carl Landry

Carl landry may well soon be on his way to California’s Sacramento King’s after Houston Rockets huge swapping deal with the Kings.

Carl Landry was transferred to the Kings alongwith Tracy Mc Grady and Joey Dorsey. In turn the Rockets got the services of Kevin Martin, Sergio Rodriguez, Kenny Thomas and Hilton Armstrong. Carl would be donning the No.14 jersey and will be featuring as a power forward for the Sacramento Kings.

Carl Landry was born on September 19, 1983 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During the start of his college career in 2002-2004 he studied at Vincennes University and led the Trailblazers in his sophomore year scoring 19.6 point per game. He was named All-Region MVP the same year. In 2004 he migrated to Purdue University and averaged 18.2 points per game in the conference in his junior season. The 2005-06 season was a bit of disappointment for Landry as he featured in only 5 games due to an injury to his knee. He returned with a bang the next season starting off with 3 consecutive Big Ten Player of the Week honors and averaging 18.9 points per game in the conference.

The 6’9”, Landry started his NBA season as a rookie with the Houston Rockets. Though he only got to play 42 games of the regular season yet he performed well and was named in the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. In the next season he averaged 9.2 points per game due to the limited on-court time available to him. In the last season Landry got his biggest break after an injury to Rockets Yao Ming. Landry averaged 16.5 points per game.

For his first season with the Sacramento Kings, Landry will atleast be hoping to start the game other than the bench as the Kings would be desperate for some early points this season.
