It has been reported that the Captain of fishing boat Phil Harris died on Tuesday night. The Captain Phil Harris who has been the part of the television show Deadliest Catch died at the age of 53. Captain Phil Harris was famous for his adventures on Deadliest Catch.

According to the reports, the family of Phil Harris told that Phil Harris suffered from a strong stroke on 29th January 2010, which proved enough to be deadly on Tuesday. The fisherman was taken to Anchorage for Surgery.

Deadliest Catch, the reality show which has completed five seasons, has emerged as one of the most popular show and depicts the fishing industry in the dangerous water of Alaska.

The reality show, which has filmed five seasons, has been one of the Discovery Channel’s most popular and portrays the crab fishing business in the unsafe waters off Alaska.

Jake and Josh Harris speak to media and released the statement about the sad demise of their beloved father. They said, with great sorrow and sadness we say goodbye to dad, our dad has always had a challenging attitude and he continued to remain fighter and courageous till the end of his life. For the crew and for us, he was the man who always led from the front.

Elizabeth Hillman, Senior Vice President of Discovery states on the death of Phil Harris, he said he was a great father and transparent friend and we will miss him.

Phil Harris started work on fishing boats when he was 7 year old and he kept stick to the same profession till his death.

    Just wanted to send my condolenses to sons.I am a 53 year young man with incurable cancer.I watched the show with great enthusiasm.You could see the health toll it took on your Dad not only to be sick, but not being able to participate in full compacity (that can kill u too).Boys live you dreams, If you ever get a spare seat for a short term ride along let me know its always been a Dream, God Bless Phil
