Massachusetts’ newly elected senator Scott Brown made an appearance at ABC’s ‘This Week’. He was interviewed by Barbara Walters.

Barbara Walters is the Oprah Winfrey of Political talk shows. She really knows what her audience wants to know. In her recent show, she interviewed Scott Brown, the newly elected Massachusetts senator. Barbara Walters designed her questions in an interesting way. Scott Brown has been in the spotlight for so many things; for his victory as a state senator, for his nude picture for the cosmopolitan magazine, and for his truck campaign. But Barbara Walters actually introduced her audience to the senator and to his ideologies.

I was waiting for some wise political talk show host to ask Mr. Brown about the health reform, about Sarah Palin, about his relationship with President Obama, and about his views about abortion and same sex marriages – and Barbara Walters did that.

Sarah Palin is the other famous Republican and there’s a hot debate going on whether she should run for presidential election or not, and when Barbara Walters asked Scott Brown, who is also a Republican, about his views about Palin and her credibility for the Presidential seat he expressed his confidence in her.

Coming to the gay marriages and abortion laws, Barbara Walters threw a very interesting question at Mr. Brown. Barbara Walters asked whether Brown, who is not really against abortions and gay marriages, is thinking differently than his party as Republican Party is not really in favor of abortion laws and asks for a federal ban on same-sex marriages as well. Mr. Brown said that he is a pro-choice person and also mentioned that every state should have the right to make its laws itself and that the federal government shouldn’t intervene in state laws.
