At&T Dropped Tiger Woods

AT&T Inc. dropped their sponsorship agreement with Pro Golfer Tiger Woods. AT&T became the third firm to drop the corporate sponsorship agreement with Tiger Woods in less than a month. AT&T took the decision yesterday following the admission of Tiger Woods of being unfaithful to his wife earlier in December.

The telecommunication Inc. AT&T did not revealed any reason for dropping Tiger Woods.
Steven Schwadron sent a laconic statement via email in which he stated that AT&T is ending their sponsorship deal with Pro Golfer Tiger Woods and they wish him best of luck for future.

The details about Tiger Woods deal with AT&T that how much the deal was worth is unknown. Although Pro Golfer did not appear in any advertisement by the company, he carries a company Logo on his golf bag since the start of 2009.

The telecommunication company will continue to sponsor the national Pro Golf Association tournaments. However Tiger Woods will not be hosting those tournaments any more, despite having prominent profile on the tournaments website.

Gillette and Accenture already have dropped their sponsorship contracts with Tiger Woods, while AT&T becoming the third firm to follow them. It has been anticipated that billionaire sports star could lose more sponsorships in future.

However, billionaire Pro Golfer Tiger Woods has not been abandoned by all his sponsors. Electronic Arts has announced that they will continue their contract to produce its ‘Tiger Woods’ PGA Tour Golf game, while Nike has also showed its full support to Woods.
